What it is

The new metal card is here! We heard you, and we now have a Metal card that can be customized with the colors that represent who you are.

The card has 2 sides: A front side with your design and colors printed on it, and a back side that continues to be laser engraved (monochrome). The background colors continue to be the same: Black, Silver, and Gold.

Design Specs

Before you start designing on your own, keep in mind that we offer a free in-house design service. Simply send us your logo or design and any instructions to design your card, and we'll handle the rest. If you’re submitting the design on your own, please select the option to have a custom design:

You'll receive a print proof to review and approve before we move forward with production.

DIMENSIONS

‍

Our cards can be printed edge to edge and are 54mm x 85.5mm. Please do not include bleed marks. 

Please avoid designs to edges, due to dimensional accuracy during production.

FORMATS

‍

We accept all graphical types: PSD, PNG, JPG, AI, EPS, etc. as long as they are the highest resolution possible.

COLORS

‍

Printing physical products is different from the colors you see on your screen. We will convert all designs to CMYK for printing. Therefore there could be a

small difference between the print proof and the actual print. If you have CMYK color codes for your brand, please share these with our design team.

MINIMUM SIZES

‍

Thicker lines print better; we recommend a minimum line weight of 1.5pt and a minimum font size of 8pt. The QR code has a minimum size of 1 in. x 1 in.

What is the card made of?

‍

Materials:

Why can't I print in full color on the metal cards?

‍

The back side of the metal cards is made using a laser etching process rather than a traditional printing process and therefore can only be two-tone. Black cards will have silver engraving, and Gold and Silver cards will have brown engraving. 

‍

Are there any color limitations?

‍

Yes, but just a few. Please avoid using colors that match the card’s color (black text on black cards, silver on silver, and gold on gold). To better match your color palette, please provide the CMYK values during the design process.

How does tapping work?

‍

Since the front side of the card is made of PVC plastic, we have extended the NFC chip and antenna across that side of the card, so when tapping your card, please make sure that the front side (the colored one) is facing the sweets spot on the phone. 

‍

Can I have the QR code on the front?

‍

At this time, the QR code can only be in the back side, laser engraved. You can move its position (left, right, center, top, or bottom) but only on the back side.
